Lawn Care Application Services

Keep your lawn looking a cut above the rest. Heritage Lawn Care Plus, LLC offers free estimates on lawn care application services in the Greater Cincinnati area. Check out our comprehensive list of services below!

Pre-Emergent Herbicide

Pre-emergent herbicides prevent the germination specifically of crabgrass seeds by inhibiting a key enzyme. Pre-emergent herbicides are applied to lawns in the spring and can also be applied in the fall.

Broadleaf Application

Broadleaf herbicides can be applied as liquids or granules. They are absorbed by the weed's foliage, not its roots, then transferred down the plant, into the roots to shut the food production cycle off. Science is cool!

Grub & Insect Application

Grubs burrow down in the earth as far as 12''. When they emerge in the late spring, they feed on organic matter and the root systems of plants and grass (their favorite food). A granular application during the spring and or summer can prevent the grubs from hatching or eradicate them post-emergence. Learn more about our pest and insect control services.

Fungicide Application

Fungicides need to be applied before any rain. Water is necessary for most fungal spores to infect foliage. The splashing of water/rain disperses the spores. The fungicide needs to dry before the next rain or watering to be most effective.

Fertilization

Fertilization refers to the application of water-soluble fertilizers on the turf. Nutrients are carried into the soil by water. Nitrogen-based complete fertilizers are applied four times a year: early spring, summer, early fall, and late fall. Learn more about deep root fertilization and granular fertilization.

Aeration & Over-Seeding

Aeration is the process of mechanically pulling cores of soil to the surface of the lawn. Wind, light, and water break the cores down. Rain washes the broken-down cores back into the ground. The voids created allow for more air and nutrients to penetrate the soil and feed the root system. Aeration also breaks the compacted soil layer created from mowers. Over-seeding after the aeration is the perfect next step. The seed has good contact with soil and increases the germination rate. Combining these services increases the overall health and beauty of the lawn.
